DESIGN REVIEW & CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISION OF TRIMMU AND PANJNAD BARRAGE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT (TPBIP)

Project Components:

The works under TPBIP are divided into two components and a separate contract is to be awarded for each component. The components and scope of work under each contract are as follow:

Scope of work to be executed for Trimmu Barrage is:

  • Enhancing the existing flood discharge capacity of Trimmu Barrage to 875,000 cusec (24,777 cumec) for passing 100-year return period flood discharge determined through hydrological analysis requiring.
  • Rehabilitation and upgrading of existing Barrage and its ancillary works, enabling them to perform their designed functions and to ensure improved and reliable irrigation supplies.
  • Partial removal of shoal (Bela)

Scope of work to be executed for Panjnad Barrage is:

  • Enhancing the existing flood discharge capacity of Panjnad Barrage to 865,000 cusec (24,494 cumec) for passing 100-year return period flood discharge determined through hydrological analysis.
  • Rehabilitation and upgrading of existing Barrage and its ancillary works, enabling them to perform their designed functions and to ensure improved and reliable irrigation supplies.
